Happy Holidays!! I hope the last couple of days have been magical!! What a wonderful time of year!

The blue swirl is made of a medium turquoise glass and rounded out.  I then wrapped a light transparent turquoise around it and melted it in.  It has a blue icy color and a bit of motion.

Chilly Days!! I am snowed in for the second time this week and celebrating it.  We have nearly 4 ft and is just keeps coming.  I have been able to work on jewelry and enjoy the beautiful winter blast.   My treat this year is special orders.  I am making and shipping a few special pieces that are unique.  It is challenging but rewarding.

In the studio and working hard! I am at Portville Central School tomorrow for the Arts, Crafts and Antiques Show. Saturday from 9-5 and Sunday 11-4! Thing Holidays- think fun!  Hope to see you there!

Sunday, October 27, 2013

The main bead was made with soft greens and dark turquoise.  I rolled it in frit and then encased it in clear glass.  The two small disc beads are of the same green and dangle above.  The entire piece is on dark brown leather cord with antiqued copper findings.  Fun, motion and beautiful....

Fall continues to be gorgeous and full of amazing colors. These simple disc beads on multi-colored leather dangles touch a couple of the colors.  Each day brings new colors and new ideas to try to match in glass.  I will be at Portville High School on November 9-10th for a craft and antique show. Fall colors will show up there...as well as gifts galore...
Have a wonderful weekend!

Today could not be more beautiful!  It is the perfect temp. The sun is out and I am slowing shrinking my list of things to do.  I finished up a very special custom order today and was pleased with it.  The beads are made of a clear glass and rolling in a violet-like frit. I love how it turned out.    I look forward to shipping today and having it find a new home... even though I would love to keep it for myself.

This summer has been amazing so far. I have really tried to slow down and be thankful, thankful, thankful! It's all around us and it's amazing. I hope the summer is going well out there.

Summer Bliss!  I am not complaining by any means but it has been a hot week at the torch! Summer has been amazing so far- so much so that I have been a terrible blogger.  But things are getting more organized and I am at SAM in the morning.  This city keeps dishing out amazing events and weekends!   So, hope to see you at SAM from 10-5!

I woke up to this beauty! I put in a full kiln yesterday and finally got my hands on them this morning.   Allentown is on the brain and I am creating..creating...creating as best I can!
What an amazing weekend of celebration, family and gratitude.  I also took a field trip to Buffalo Reuse.  Treasure hunting! I found some old shutters and table legs I am going to convert into new displays.  It was great to just look around and dig. It is a fun and funky place!

Great weekend at the Saturday Artisan Market! The weather was amazing, the people friendly and Buffalo at it's best! I love days at the wharf.  There was music, food and many wonderful vendors!  Next up...Allentown! June 8-9th! I have some fun ideas coming out and looking forward to more Buffalo, more people and more beads, beads, beads!
I have to credit my brother for this pics....he is loads more talented than me and many, many mediums and seems to catch a moment in time in photos, humor, and full picture better than I ever can.

Spring has sprung! Wow! Does it change everything! Here are some pics of frog eggs just laid in the pond.  There were thousands and the frogs were still noisy in the cat tails and the birds were hanging out at the shores. Everything out there just gets down to business:)  It's beyond belief how everything can be frozen and then all of a sudden spring to life. We have had a stretch of " oh my goodness does it get any more beautiful" weather!
That means kickin' it in to high gear with summer fair prep.
I will be at Allen Town West this year!! Whoa whoa whoa! What a great time to get motivated! I love Buffalo and my city and can't wait to be at ALLENTOWN WEST!   See  you there!

Preps for big fairs on the way.  Cream glass with colorful swirls and antiqued copper findings.

The joys of spring are here.  The forecast looks bright and I am making a wide variety of new projects. I have an order of brightly colored leathers coming in and new findings on the way.  The date I am preparing for is the opening of the SAM market at the Wharf.  I hope the wind is calm and the sun out! The earrings are from this past weekend and I hope to duplicate them in a variety of colors as this weekend nears.  Let the preparations begin!

Love this Blue! This piece is simple. It is a a disc bead tucked between bead caps and looped on a dark brown leather cord.  It feels like a special necklace with luck. I hope to make it in may colors.
I just got back from the Rockies. It had nothing to do with lamp work but more with life and inspiration.  What a great trip! Pics to come. Now to think strong, happy- SPRING thoughts!

Monday, March 25, 2013

We are in, what feels like, an extended winter. In WNY this is just about right I suppose. I do keep telling myself that each snowfall will be the last. There is still beauty in it.  Maple Syrup season is well under way, $15 spring lift tickets and super snow ball making snow are other positive thoughts as well.
This piece has an antique button, my lamp work, wooden discs and a hand stamped message.
These gravity beads hang with stone gems, mini findings and another lamp work treasure of a tiny tiny size.  I hope your spring is going well and the Easter holiday brings you joy.

Saturday, March 2, 2013

I'll be at the Clarence Presbyterian Church on Main in Clarence fromm 10-3 for the GOTTA HAVE ART fest!  Hope to see you there between 10-4!  Happy Weekend To Allllll!

Earrings Earring Earrings! That's my personal theme of the day!! I  can't get enough and I love giving them as gifts and receiving them too:) The focal bead on these is a ceramic bead. It is delicately painted with a bright blue color and matches my lamp work beads tucked in there.
Happy FRIDAY to all!  ...Happy Creating!!

These winter days have been so gorgeous...even more so when you can just stay put and enjoy them.  I am thinking summer dates and getting applications in for events in the warm months. But in the mean time I am enjoying this beauty.  I had a little visitor to my feeders.  It was fun to discover the tracks in the morning.

This piece called for a lot of wire wrapping, small details and fun.  The four center beads are a deep brownish purple glass.  With them are copper findings, dangling stones and discs of all sorts.  I am now thinking about the early March event in Clarence.  New pieces and new ideas to bring to that show.  Can't wait! Hope everyone is having a nice beginning to the week..happy creating!

Gorgeous Sunday! What a week of weather and I have to say...I can not recall driving in worse conditions. It's gorgeous but every time I arrived at my destination I was beyond relieved.  Today the sun is shining, projects are in the works and I guess there is some kind of big football game tonight.  The Bills are not playing but I will pay it some mind and at least do some snacking or something.

This necklace has an  Ecuadorian nut bead, a brass button, a wooden disc, my lamp work stack and a gorgeous stone disc. It hangs on varied dark brown leathers with antiqued copper findings.
